The peaceful south-western corner of Samos contains some of the island’s finest beaches and scenery. This whole region is fine walking country – up the mountain, perhaps to Evangelistria monastery (a steep 3-4 hours; cheats can get closer by car and walk the last bit!), or further west above the sea to a number of remote villages.
