Places as pretty yet as unspoiled as Sivota are hard to find. If you, like us, look for an uncommercialised village, a lovely setting, fine beaches and comparatively few foreign visitors, Sivota should be high on your list.
Also known by its Turkish name of Mourtos (they were masters here until 1913) Sivota is in Epirus, that mountainous region of the north west. This is one of the loveliest areas of Greece – green, scenic and traditional with limited organised tourism.
