Our Holidays
Sunvil’s ambition has always been to offer good quality holidays to areas away from the mainstream. Coupled with civilised travel arrangements, accurate information and the specialist’s traditional strengths of in-depth local knowledge, choice and flexibility, we aim to provide our customers with precisely the holiday they seek.
We can justifiably claim to have been ahead of our time now that the unpackaged holiday – always a speciality of ours – is so much in fashion. Our holidays can take you well off the normal tourist-beaten track, provide great flexibility and will save you time and trouble to arrange. Unlike DIY holidays, you can sleep easily knowing that our arrangements are reliable, back-up is there if you need it and, most importantly, your money is 100% safe, guaranteed by our bonds with the CAA and AITO Trust.
Should you need any assistance whilst in Greece, we have a team of some 30 representatives as well as local agents on the ground. In addition we have a 24-hour duty manager in the UK, who can always be contacted in case of emergency.
We love the places to which we send our clients, and always try to act in a responsible manner as far as the local people and environment are concerned.
Customer Satisfaction
Because we are constantly seeking to improve our holidays, we ask all clients to complete a post-holiday questionnaire. Based on 2,030 questionnaires, returned covering 4,673 customers the ‘overall satisfaction’ scores for Greece in 2007 were:
Excellent 64.5%; Good 32.5%; Fair 2.6%; Poor 0.4%.
Some 70% of our clients give us their custom repeatedly or have been recommended to travel with us.
Independent Surveys
In November 2006, Sunvil were double-winners at the British Travel Awards, being voted ‘Best Independent Specialist Tour Operator to Greece’ and ‘Independent Specialist Tour Operator of the Year’. In March 2006 Sunvil was, awarded Bronze status by readers of Wanderlust, one of the UK’s most respected travel magazines. Sunvil has twice been voted Best Tour Operator in the recent past. In January 2005, in the latest tour operator survey by the Consumer’s Association, Sunvil was placed third in the ‘Beach Holidays’ category, and 12th in the UK overall. The survey covered members’ recent experiences with all UK holiday companies large and small (see Holiday Which? Winter 2005).
Memberships
We are both retail and tour operator members of ABTA and licensed by IATA. We are also long-standing members of The Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) and abide by the AITO Quality Charter. Go to AITO website >
Financial Security
Sunvil is a fully bonded tour operator. We are licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL 808) for all air-based holidays within this brochure. All non-air travel arrangements (eg. ground arrangements only) conform to the bonding requirements of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA V6218) and AITO. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, these organisations will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will refund any money you have paid us for an advance booking.
