Tolon watersports
Tolon is an excellent place for water sports, especially for beginners – children and adults alike – as it is such a safe, sheltered bay. We have linked up with Poseidon Water Sports to offer a range of prebookable activities. Poseidon, run by Yiannis Gogonas, are based towards the harbour end of Tolon’s beach, close to our Romvi Hotel. Long-established, they have a wealth of experience – Yiannis has been operating water sports here for over 20 years. Please book at the same time as your holiday.
Windsurfing
The Learn to Windsurf 5-day course (which after the initial lesson can be taken at any time during your holiday) runs from 10/6-26/8 and normally takes place for 2 hours in the mornings when the breeze is light. Initial tuition is on-water as the sea is so shallow. Poseidon are very experienced at teaching children. Suitable for approximate ages 10 years (depending on size!) and up.
The Freesail package gives one person 10 hours use of any available equipment at any time during the holiday

Dinghy Sailing
Poseidon offers Laser Picos, and Topper dinghies. These small dinghies are easy to learn and fun to sail. Suitable for one or two persons, our package gives you 10 hours hire to be taken at any time during your holiday, subject to dinghy availability. Tuition can be given for beginners, under the Learn to Sail package.

Waterski
10 sessions, again to be taken at any time during your holiday. This includes instruction for beginners (4 ‘pulls’ or attempts each time with mistakes and technique pointed out). Experienced skiers will enjoy the very scenic 2 km circuit around the bay. Kiddy-skis are available for children aged approx. 7 years upwards.

Small Motorboats
5.5m boats with 20hp engines licensed for 6-7 persons (even 8 if some are children). Boats are permitted to operate up to 6 miles from base, in effect as far as Vivari to the South and Karathana (Nafplion) to the North. No previous experience is required as initial instruction will be provided. Boats have a canopy, tiller steering, full safety equipment, anchor, ladder and mobile phone. Coolbox and ice can be provided on request. Petrol is included in the rental price.
